; z% h9 A' {) }( CEDMONTON — Southgate Centre today began a $108 million expansion to accommodate more than 30 new retailers and restaurants.% Q5 O# g- a K* U( A. o/ X8 \7 O! A3 d

The two-year project, facing 111th Street, will add 126,000 square feet of leasable space on the ground floor — and two levels of parking above.

“Part of the redevelopment will include enhanced site lighting and closed-circuit TV security systems monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Southgate general manager Paul Fairbridge.

It also will include hotel-quality washrooms and private sitting rooms for nursing mothers.6 k$ M1 I: m& f; e* T5 Y
