Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
/ f1 \  e# z9 G
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
$ L$ _7 f3 F# P4 p2 {7 }
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

" {" H4 Q5 d. {5 g& {6 z  w6 B· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

% c$ O, v& E0 n, J2 o) b; S% n· Operate manual and automatic shifts
& q5 ^, ]' ~( T! j$ ^
· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

; P3 r2 t* ^1 j) T% M* O· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

5 h7 A! ~1 {( s2 P7 o6 Q· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

/ X$ e( ?1 q1 y- E· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
, e# V$ w4 u$ p3 h. x
· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
