CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

. M* c% u# J! d  d  g· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

! L% y  Y" k9 Z; N+ f( C7 a· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

$ H! m9 }- Y! h- d. `" X5 H2 k· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

9 `# r/ g& h$ v  `. H: a· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

  V8 t0 ~8 K+ Y; w· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts
/ g; i  G: J# C
· Secure loads safely
! ]1 X5 d0 W5 U4 q9 f! s
· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
1 j3 b2 q/ d0 l' N( S/ T. cQualifications and Training Requirements
) W" F. C( B( G1 @! O" H2 R7 P
· Minimum 3 years experience
3 Z; o: c$ C! S  K1 T4 t) n! Z# F
· Valid Class 1 license

8 O! ^/ A9 Q6 Y· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

2 \) Z$ {" N, o+ Z( ?· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
! n, U: U4 k3 o6 B& W7 Y& t5 i+ i
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
% I/ O2 a2 ?; O' q
· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)
3 z3 E! @! E0 e5 P% ]8 |% s3 o6 {  q
· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
