Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

6 F9 {5 Y0 L& r) i! l5 _* G· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
) m2 D$ E4 j3 \2 G4 @" @9 a! s
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
8 H  _! `7 M, `5 z. l( B1 M
& F( a/ E% p+ q9 ~· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

( m* N: l/ C6 p5 Y5 X, v· Operate manual and automatic shifts

8 c3 v( g( _7 i( p· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
4 ?& i0 a, L$ f# X7 ]Qualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

· Load securement certification

  x: b  f3 ?! F* j· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
