Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and

You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
/ P6 C/ d& [$ h9 J' e2 }0 Wlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the5 v# I1 r4 V' @8 @
centre. J7 f5 p7 `9 k4 o9 z8 R
These responsibilities include:( a9 F% Y# ]' n$ s/ l
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC. w% c7 e6 Z, X
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.4 r; D# A* I4 Q4 b
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and3 a: L, _1 `5 N F3 k8 j' ]
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
4 o* |! \4 t1 `- W* F/ ifacilities’ maintenance, etc. 3 j8 [, n% R( O9 i
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic / T/ L( v4 x7 E7 p; W( R
clients’ files etc.

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
; h$ ~1 {2 F/ W. l9 @education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination 2 [! e: M4 [2 S
of education, training and /or experience.
- `+ G8 K7 |( k# J! jKnowledge/Technical competencies:
; X- A, s3 m( D) c$ g, v" i-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.6 n8 i t P0 C* ?+ _5 N
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word

-Experience using and updating an information database. ) p8 _) F. f, U5 I7 _+ L3 l6 b
