$ k# r p! F. Oweekend hours.
6 o7 T& R) [5 d5 qYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer2 y4 d# g' {. C: O
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
5 I% }) [- U5 a5 S. T1 E- Lcentre.
1 D( ]: m7 ^9 n+ B7 X# K- l3 @These responsibilities include:
9 ^, N9 Z- @% t! t: T9 V5 ~-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
8 y4 U( `" C+ g2 Z-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
, G3 \0 n3 Z5 R* s3 ?2 F# v' ~-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
' ~/ a3 V k# w5 U0 |1 ^. k- Trenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
/ b* V' E* [. D- q3 ]# ?facilities’ maintenance, etc.
' H' N4 ]. r2 z, B& J' |5 i: I# v: l-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
: I8 ~' \( R: S$ ]% H4 O7 bclients’ files etc.

Education:
: p3 C( p: W, P% n8 r# C-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, $ Z5 g$ _$ F# J/ N9 J9 L
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination $ c6 V9 Y/ D, J* G6 C
of education, training and /or experience. * {+ G" A% U m/ z5 f( A
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
9 x' A6 n1 i: X- E, F-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
, N* P7 h1 d7 ?* C6 l( ?. y1 @& }. a-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
1 W8 l% w+ N I! Oand Excel.
+ Z: f- X) N; c. ]-Experience using and updating an information database. ' B1 l7 j: R" a# @% M: d' Z
* w- _4 | P6 {- _Assets:: c$ R( O! C+ v5 }/ B
-Experience in using MS Access.
Y, B/ l/ |5 p0 l) e-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.

Abilities:
