Job Summary:
5 a4 y# `( z, i0 ?The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:

& \% {8 _4 [- J4 E% a8 w; fMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials* @8 x. y& b, M1 q, ?9 [
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
4 ^; r2 }# z8 w W, ^3 sLoads and unloads non-ferrous material
1 a" T' s& _& R/ V d; x$ T0 K. o3 M4 QMust be able to work safely at all times
% T/ T) ~# [% p# ~: w) dBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
" ^" @, Q! y5 u6 jPerforms routine housekeeping., U8 R# _# W, k8 l4 b; Z& }
Observes and reports any safety issues1 e5 C# j2 ^7 \6 T: r

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

6 m8 y; G3 M* M7 i5 M" aKnowledge of non-ferrous processing
' R, B, A6 D, z% @High school diploma (Or GED)
- A! Q& B& J, e" OWell-articulated and assertive8 `- K0 D% N `( Z
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization

Ability to write simple correspondence
