9195.  

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
8 t) c( `, z. M( b5 a3 c! `; Ofor use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
, E) Y: f4 A$ Q5 P3 Hinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.
6 ^* I3 x2 [& w' {. h& Y+ x( B9 l
Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
9 ^2 P- k& a1 panalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
/ k7 c" T3 E5 \$ g9 y7 pseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
& z0 @3 @& ?! h% i9 `1 {7 g1 Kof a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
