Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30/ F' z& I( g/ |- M
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at8 f3 ?: z1 Y, {- c* U2 P! Z8 K
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus/ E2 }. l- D7 ~$ O7 {" J
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,% V) v- r* {5 v' P. ^3 ~
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for% ?: C8 B6 q! y4 j
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and( ^7 L" s4 K4 L6 }( G7 W, U9 B
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
3 [' ]/ _) W7 [% wtheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,5 j2 |* H/ U; S5 d/ H
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
/ x2 t* E! G9 b1 k* uvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
% U( P/ _6 p+ `& C. Goutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city2 G, j q6 v8 v- a& c V. t! }
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night5 H& \+ J, q& W) E- R) z/ n
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or: r: v) p& p* r @- K6 c6 I
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents) W& x" X; o, E z. {- E" u
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint% @3 {0 }# }$ h8 W9 r" V
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
' g" @ m; R+ ^+ \* | cCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate" c! m, h# o- r9 b
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,- ^9 C6 M) a8 L% t4 I
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake' i3 ~0 ^) ]+ S- `, b
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those. U' \6 g) y) i* `; N' D l
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
! O; V, O, ?* G- s4 u( }& U/ Nskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,- b! X) R: d5 S1 I0 y5 C+ l
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,. a' l: W5 ~9 t6 `
