Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at( d, J2 D b. _2 n! y+ g
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus4 d5 w; j" B9 d! X* Z4 n7 S! d
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
: \9 y( J2 D0 O2 W6 y5 ^, yetc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
) ]5 p8 J) E6 C9 p0 v% K6 v5 W" zparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
' E+ K2 P( q0 stheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
: S% g- `5 P" v6 H( `their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,7 [1 A4 _7 Y. W3 N' |( k4 v( h
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking* H; W" s3 W2 e- ]" L
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
$ i' z4 L! ^! C6 d7 Y* }8 S9 doutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city' V5 K: ?( w* ^7 |. V* O. Y
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night5 f3 X/ w+ B( d2 `* F) S9 z
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or3 e5 ~! q; G8 v2 s) P4 L
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents$ x" o2 q, `6 Z) B( V4 b, c
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint2 o6 x' [9 g8 O2 }- O9 A1 J( \1 U

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in# V+ D% z0 C" A p/ ` T
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate2 j9 W# |- x8 n, u0 O7 ]
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
1 ^5 s+ y# O6 [* w) e. sdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
( c4 V! k) z4 l& {3 p7 Aa variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
/ d& |$ {+ J: q/ V9 g, ^of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
% G! V! c6 z: |) O2 R2 dskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
7 k7 o2 H7 l8 N+ ]# [ w' FExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
$ R5 l. o' p2 G; i0 V- |experience coordinating group activities an asset.
