Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
$ Z1 v) N/ l% r; V# [2 q& LCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
0 P" x; A* J3 ]0 m% zvenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,4 [1 u' ^$ R8 P, U( O
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
6 a4 c/ e2 E; L4 Eparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
' O6 E% J% @' I6 ?1 I$ _their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during- n1 Q; w" C9 d4 Q1 {* Y
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
M6 h# ^' s% z; e) M7 @. `assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking! {& Z, {% Q3 x5 r3 M
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city: q# u7 i0 {8 L$ h; d
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city$ @' i+ D" q8 l/ a f
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night0 G7 L4 ^4 p# p9 T* G5 b
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
- ^3 {% a& C$ N/ ~" Vfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in- P7 z! G1 c) r0 ?% ~9 P/ n
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
7 @5 M) E$ z' P& D3 A! D! i9 _8 Wfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,8 I, B n* T& }4 U
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake' V) t, s1 i( ^6 I3 h+ W
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
8 L) k$ |/ U: L K$ Eof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management9 H( v( B6 X+ D! k$ @" d* q5 e5 @' r
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,- b4 N" F6 ?) M2 l' R, t2 E- O6 r
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,7 J5 J3 [& u, d* U* D& a
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
