11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
4 C9 x/ }) A8 R+ n9 zcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
9 {! N$ M: E/ [4 s. B! x+ M: Gcustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
0 v0 Z8 H' T7 ]8 Y$ c( Q! ~1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
% ]: Y7 F! p( E) M& E) _orders.
. x$ g' `+ G$ K( X1 e/ b
" D- p6 j0 z5 {5 I6 S" \# E5 A2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
& k2 _7 t- e: y$ ?3 Oaccordance with Students' Union policies.

( u# H  w8 w- i+ z: x- |3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
" t& |/ y! h5 L: h& J8 F" g4 I, Eincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
/ F# F" B6 l4 B5 l" f( Jand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

9 i( V2 X# s6 V! k5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
% Y4 m* [- C  L' b8 Yintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
. Q) I  Y$ L7 ]* o6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
2 J, h6 q9 r9 n9 ?3 m% jAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

: n+ O7 [/ \; S# f3 ^9 e7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
& z+ ?$ e5 {: b, Q+ O( uManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
. G8 B- G) S" X$ c0 ^) w+ s4 W1 W1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
3 |" ~+ C  g) f. D, R6 j
2 _6 Q" x; p& @" T( u2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
6 S; \- o, |+ f5 _% [" W' d
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
( _1 O: j) q) o7 P+ ^+ F! W; k
/ x5 x& ], m2 B  `4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

& V3 Y7 s0 u# o! q) {5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
+ m# z$ E: U) C7 T5 vprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
