11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

5 Y# v  N0 ^- ?2 O$ ?( N4 E) ~  FJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
! R$ R0 N* P8 o# k* BBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
! R9 O7 `  c& m0 w" G1 vcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.


/ [" X6 Z$ m; d. H: @/ g$ qDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
2 r5 Q9 M3 @7 h; p* X2 a. x
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
. t: ~! Y2 g. a9 ehigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
4 I, X" h  @# U0 L' d2 b7 Vaccordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
' m* Q( @& I' U' L* c, n" k; I
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
+ v/ C; M+ Y9 G* `4 x" G% P
" u3 \+ \7 q; V3 n' p* D5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
9 R' @3 A& O6 B; m7 Vintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
" Q  L2 M! p% ^& d0 o1 v' d, j6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
  f5 p" i, e1 g4 w. S& q+ B3 y& k. Y) l6 FAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

0 i5 M9 C! q& W1 d, q% m7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

* Q8 W! v  t0 F, |6 K: K1 W# \2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
* J2 L  U- p. R( Z$ |' I: xoperation.
- F" D9 M$ P- ~5 V& w! u+ J4 O
, |6 u/ s0 N  w! M- a3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
6 Q& Q& w* ]- U6 s0 r3 gpolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
+ H/ y& V& f8 [' n: bcard transactions.
  _5 V$ Q, s4 i0 }
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
