11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
, {4 B: k6 D0 u, Ycustomer service and room cleanliness.

* k5 @! X  p6 r+ W- c# KDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
4 C2 G% Y' g1 @0 h; |' N! ]4 N, _1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
; ]5 l/ _' D% Q' i$ x# Rorders.
9 \6 S. v% o4 M( e) ^- `/ Z
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
6 y' d& W1 l, X. N# Lhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
7 y) ?" Q! i7 h8 Q) ltotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

& P" a1 |5 @9 g8 q0 l4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
  }! N6 _% L+ e9 T9 H0 c; Land ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
( V- L3 q" h+ i+ xintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
# O+ L/ \' E. r' EManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
" ~+ c5 z3 A6 }; Z0 Q1 v# _. H" E1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

% S+ f9 [7 \3 ~4 P2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
9 L* D2 j0 P9 y/ j) C. a' h1 poperation.
, h5 Y# G+ E8 ?# X! Y* |* K, F
4 w8 n  b$ c9 l+ Q. c* N; {3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

# _/ T$ b6 G! v4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
' h5 d2 q- ~; Pcard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
