11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
4 p! W  g; L7 A4 |# u8 B; pBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
  x4 |7 [3 z$ h- Y; ocustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
5 {& E9 Y. u& q1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
3 K8 r) _5 a9 y1 ~4 ~orders.
, [+ O! G3 }' f2 p
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
, \$ x0 t1 J: v+ [# rhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

  Z5 P0 o0 b) N4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
7 w0 J9 D! ^* d; R1 p0 r5 `! xincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
! v: ?) u* m: k9 V2 Rand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

% g3 j& R# M6 n1 h4 J5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
4 d( S5 `7 D% b6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

3 N( x/ S' Z$ r6 X7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
2 l0 P6 y/ ]# B: Z4 e& @Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
( j: M( K' W& Z7 m
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
" O7 j' p+ F, i$ A  u
1 c& }2 k% {4 @1 V5 Z5 S; s3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
9 U0 O  A! k& F/ C2 o% ]% Opolicy.
6 w3 g- u: M3 m) l
/ Z, \& F9 f; U& y  m: z4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
