& a" ~  f( ~$ v" s6 M! U/ NJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
4 p5 F: K6 S  ]6 K4 {6 EOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
; Z0 m  h1 n; k' cprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
; n8 p! V3 @/ E( x! [0 @cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
+ |) Y; y2 H: j9 H% b* E  N% abeverage items.
5 ]) o) ]6 f( Q: M5 F0 d, G
$ E0 }& h& o  ]# j. q% g$ @2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
. k" x/ a3 U) `% \  Qeach shift, and upon closing.

0 q" f& J9 m% a  _" C3 N4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
8 S' y; J# @4 T  @1 m3 s" Q" lattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
3 a0 e. g! D# H2 Lseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.
& ?; i) M+ h+ Z" i: e1 T
9 E% Z6 g& Y8 v) q5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
8 T! @+ _5 K; z& y, a' Mproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
* K, @& R9 j# {+ |$ Ohigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
, s1 U1 X6 ~9 _6 X9 y2 b4 _8 \Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
4 A7 i2 o! k+ [1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
' X  W  z. i5 W' R5 c( I3 uoperation.
  \' s4 ^. X2 y- J. g+ u% Z+ k
/ r6 t3 z) \: B* x& r3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

- p; U3 N1 f8 c6 ^5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
) o! K% m# p7 y% AUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.

Union position
# G$ l" Y+ C8 c. u# F, PWage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
