Council in the manner set out in the Council Administration Committee

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) To run the elections as per Bylaws 2000

2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.

8 D% K. V2 P5 g. y! K E3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.9 Q* @/ L; Z+ k" k4 N, x8 y# Z; s
R2 w6 ~+ l7 m: O+ _$ ?! D+ I4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing
% [2 Q2 k Z! q& M* ?( vadequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations % ?5 q0 v @, h1 |% m6 f9 N
across campus, and advertising the poll locations.$ ~4 p; x9 z( I; r& h- s
* {9 V) _+ r) M6 H7 I: U5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/ + m5 R# m; c7 F
referenda.

6) To report the result of an election/referendum to the appropriate * O. z B I- t8 s+ ]
parties.

To enforce budgetary regulations as stipulated in the Elections

10) To be available to all parties during elections/referenda for a / l5 U2 x; v6 A' U; g& E& d
minimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday,

of voting. These hours are to be posted in advance.' b V) |* Q$ {+ Q* [
9 _) s7 v* V4 O2 ~6 L0 E11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during
! [2 g) h" s* I- p+ ythe course of an election/referendum.0 W" C& V/ R. S/ B) L. c
9 L! u; s- j& z8 }. S12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting
, Y; B% Y) Z, X# D# Y# e uprocess is in place.

X& t4 ?) {+ e% a6 a7 B$ ~2 a3 e14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week

QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course % A4 h* G+ f$ E8 \+ M, t& q0 {
for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'
# |( H6 @5 u' v9 S, l* @Union member.3 l" H, ?; D" g! {. @. X/ G! ?
' w% v7 Q5 y( t
2) Must have some experience in student elections.
X' u7 i7 Y/ W8 s9 U, T/ q, c
. O* P; }" e/ u: u2 g5 j3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or k9 x8 I. ]6 C$ }7 J; ^3 ^
any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position
