followings rare operatic performance.  The organizer has offered 2 free

award

The Asian Chinese Opera Association and the Hong Kong SingFai Opera
- l  [" Q$ P& b4 {Association (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at

theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2

instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
the
Cantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
Achievements
in Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts
Development
0 W( ]* ^1 u' z' M: K, |4 mCouncil.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

4 m: I7 C" f% H+ U0 v# gperformance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a
few
5 k3 c. T% a5 o' Z& Z9 hsongs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
sold-out
crowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
Hong Kong
