1 A0 i8 J' Z, Vwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
2 i: R% K# W) |# V; C+ K sprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up., y% V* A* Y4 y0 O
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
/ f2 s& O* s8 b: Dartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
+ m& X, C4 q* B. Y- \2 jEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for+ }& Z+ K, G0 M
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
: b! d3 j4 {: }/ w) Arecyclables.
3 f+ b0 Z$ s! {Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be' q0 N: U, x9 z$ A- o" b
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.+ D8 y) H H4 E0 w- w: r; T
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
& G$ n' Q* d5 ^) q( c, pthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late* g- x2 I1 z- l. D
hours are part of this crew’s duties.; q0 w7 T9 S. G' s* v
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
2 x; ], A( o1 m, q$ Z3 Ufestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide5 M A; I. V6 a, ]1 R2 G8 h
programs to visitors to the festival.
4 L, F! q! D$ mKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
/ m6 q/ i$ g3 D+ Meveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.+ c( W' _* [6 U3 U
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
8 Y; _& p1 r. _8 nevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
1 u' D8 y3 ^% c2 ]festival.! E+ g. d3 O6 e. U
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
+ z- N( y- V9 V/ h& _" C5 moperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you0 u! j: `6 ]! D8 {" e& r
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.' U" p, e" Y3 M+ L% b: e% c5 ~2 m
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
; I" J6 c/ S4 W- t# H( ^+ }and/or understanding of back stage procedures.8 ]8 n! |3 z% r3 R! m
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
8 S5 s- h+ a$ ]0 v2 rrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
& K, x/ x; k" z/ l$ D; v, r6 {airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival2 N7 t$ x2 b j9 j
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
