Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the; G8 C' d0 {' x: F0 w* _8 [
festival.
: r* v& c' }( P1 E4 v/ A1 F: [Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
; e" D+ G. r+ n2 e2 Q. J3 ]work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
0 V6 U9 F" O: m7 B9 \: ^1 h `prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
4 t6 B3 U$ o& D2 Z7 \. ^Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the) B+ ^, s9 C! e1 b( q
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.) y9 {7 @! Q! C& w0 S1 y
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for% X# j8 G" g$ ^& k' s* c3 o
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
- t- X5 P7 F L8 Nrecyclables.
$ j+ @ E' D2 U: ~2 P$ dFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
0 ~, _. A, P2 e) _5 @part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
: |3 z" [' Q+ z$ r0 MHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing7 H* }, ^/ B0 D" Z$ r
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
" }6 S$ c" @$ b& S/ R' P, [hours are part of this crew’s duties.7 X3 ]* B: V4 ?7 ?' X L
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the( T% G0 H2 h8 k2 v& s8 O
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
- e/ o% w& b# a" V/ f) ~4 Gprograms to visitors to the festival.% ^6 I5 ^4 |# r7 i! j8 X" }
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for2 [% X& t2 }/ w5 `& o
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
+ o* g# H7 ~1 u; T% |( m, mOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed; B) Z6 L0 E! e
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
$ Y" V. r% ^) L' V. ifestival.
4 h- Z' m' [% \' M' m3 GSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is; |! l6 J3 ^& ~ j8 y( ?
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
2 E8 z0 }- Z$ B; q2 l& sare physically fit and ready for any emergency.& z. z9 |2 u# @" @) [
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training5 u8 } [; B/ G, ^
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
# o9 W$ Q. W6 O3 l" I2 e" rTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be8 M2 d" B# l6 P( C% `7 O8 L+ X
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as5 H; N8 ^2 c1 S# v4 e& x7 y, y7 e
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
2 u/ _2 K3 G4 e8 Z' gstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
