Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
( P2 A: C% y! Jwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft0 C5 t4 g: L8 U, a* L
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
6 H6 F# ]: o% y x$ o2 LChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the3 h- N' D5 X3 o- V0 a6 r# H
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.9 z/ q2 G: f, W4 f* g
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
: i ]: U' s0 W, b2 W4 ovisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
( n& w# A) M/ x9 Mrecyclables.
5 }" J- \ \* P7 {% h% C. Y3 |, J: T, LFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be8 e9 G+ p. T: v/ Q: j e
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
* [8 x. r6 B9 A. G- aHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing0 C, ]/ _1 P2 u" r
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late. J) f! a) |! D8 e' q( e4 Q
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
* h' c5 d9 c: C0 ^Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the! ?, ?1 F8 {& T$ J2 s
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
$ F; p( X, _. @programs to visitors to the festival.+ ~" l( [4 L0 V( m. E Z
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
+ `$ Q. o. a' f. h4 X' j" deveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
9 E" r& N' B5 b+ EOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
; c6 G& ~& D! } Y/ u2 j# Nevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the, t! a4 @! y, a, G; ~5 N8 ^
festival.
* g% ]+ d9 X0 h: Y. V; }/ ?Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is- Y) {4 B/ H+ R/ t# f
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you3 e9 b C$ H5 f% A+ s e0 z+ z
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
9 s+ s" C0 T9 u/ CStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
8 {9 l3 @, }- wand/or understanding of back stage procedures.* G& j4 ^. }$ ]
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be9 Z g2 ~* ^: s% b# r7 e
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as! t9 @; l+ L$ O8 C* K! ]
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival5 m) a) H/ [* X% h7 {) Z# D# h
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
