It looks like you guys are all rich and look at only five years rate. If I am buying house I have to look at 20-25 years rate because I can not afford to pay off such quick as within 5 years.

Currently the fix rate is 5.99%
the variable rate is Primary - 0.75%, that is 5.25 now.

2 P5 Q' U6 S) i& O( @( c& N- |5-year-fix rate mortage does not requrie you to pay all the mortgage in full in 5 years. Only the interest rate is fixed in 5 years. You can choose the term as 25 years or 40 years.

Eirc Zhang said that YOU MUST BE KIDDING to NOT know the meaning of this "5 Year".
