This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.% u1 v8 `8 l& |/ w8 s \; l

; `( v9 p- [" W( U: D• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.
" g) E1 T: e7 f0 e• Collect proper fare, issue transfers.3 p4 q1 ~: B- G U
• Respond to customer queries concerning transit information.
* J' _. X1 Y; [! L% f0 G• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather 6 m( o' T4 l! E- @( {
and traffic conditions.

• Obey and follow defensive driving guidelines, local traffic laws and Transit system regulations.

& P9 G5 {. ?& `, c. s; n- L• Grade eleven (11) or an equivalent educational level is required. Formal training in driving or public relations will be considered an asset.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (operate bus controls, re-set trolley poles, provide passengers with assistance i.e. strollers, wheelchairs etc.).

• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.

showing no suspensions and no more than 3 demerits recorded over the previous 2 year period. ; d4 \; j! ] R" P# Z
• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill
- \, F. S% X- c+ Qvideo-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training)." C/ d& U1 y0 m! H

• Internal ETS applicants must have completed all mandatory in-house training.

HOURS OF WORK:

1st year: Guaranteed minimum 67.4 hours bi-weekly( p) k9 a1 ?& y5 \: @
Thereafter: Guaranteed minimum 74 hours biweekly
