the revenue forecast for the government’s fiscal plan.

& i. m' V( x9 ^+ v# _Your main responsibilities will be to monitor current economic developments, analyze trends and assist in
6 ]4 `, z* Q$ M, F( n2 F  P3 Kpreparing the economic forecast for the Alberta government. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you
. P6 v* j; p. T+ ]monitor developments within Alberta and the global economy and assess the implications for Alberta’s
economic performance and major revenues. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will enable
) |& L3 I  [+ f' Jyou to present the results of your technical analysis to a non-specialist audience.

% m- J: \( P, y2 S0 K4 w3 X5 ?You will work in a team environment and be comfortable in defending your analysis and forecasts to others in
* {/ R6 ~6 L) ^the group. The ability to manage numerous projects will prove valuable as you will have to meet multiple
deadlines. The ability to develop or enhance forecasting models would be a definite asset.

' e4 z0 D. T; U: }" B( U% CQualifications: Master’s Degree in Economics is preferred. Equivalencies (such as a Bachelor’s Degree and
2 ]# E2 l# X4 J, R6 xsignificant relevant work experience) will be considered. This position requires a strong grasp of economic
* Y& N# V& ^6 r7 z1 Jtheory and quantitative methods, familiarity with economic research techniques and knowledge of econometric
" [4 p/ w# X, z0 i+ x! [- N4 e: a; Wsoftware (e.g. ESTools, Eviews, Shazam), and excellent communication skills.
