summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 5 B7 W4 |! L l O5 s5 m
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 2 I9 S* a4 U, C# E0 D
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 7 k8 ^% v' T4 @( k6 l+ l+ G
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

: U* M: {: N$ y' ^$ V. QFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

4 H; y2 R! t0 ]8 G+ `, ^/ Q- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
/ ?& }1 M$ A, Q" n8 z! V- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
U8 N5 x- m; \0 c- Implement a catalogue template for future use
3 k0 p1 p2 Z- O0 b0 |- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
% `5 R# A" f1 O4 R* U9 ~( p! H' Q- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 8 f! t. n; Z& V8 L! v% S

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-0 {; c: J& K3 X& S. a: W8 \* }
secondary training, university preferred

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
H" t+ I1 j6 e- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts $ d1 X, F6 y. ^( u. A* b9 g+ c8 O
- Strong organizational skills
3 A5 |: [/ ]" x( O( H- T- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
5 n4 |0 Q3 M1 b' l& j1 f- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal % ]1 x% y7 V7 }0 G0 `
- Strong team player abilities % u! M: e% o2 v# X1 Y
