support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

$ _: k& ^4 S4 nand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
: b- z. [4 k# s. T' B- `$ Nresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
G- c+ R+ B) m- l) Xscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern + u- v% U2 n3 Z' D; V

! R# w! m7 d5 _6 iJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
5 g3 z& k- w1 ]' Z6 J0 oFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
5 z6 {( J$ C F) U( L2 z0 cwell as the script, magazine and book library. c' e. K) @* k2 _

5 R8 n3 @. s% G6 I5 X/ j) Q- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
% `3 f9 d5 D1 \) D7 M% |- m- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- {7 D: { g- t8 u Q# y' ]1 ~- Implement a catalogue template for future use
' t& {0 V0 S; Z$ I- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure $ J5 N% W P K0 C4 g3 o& p
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-& k4 t' o. V3 W8 I4 b3 d

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 7 F) h1 d0 }0 v' T& f
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 3 [. S1 b& k, U& A! w: b
- Strong organizational skills
/ T' {* ?; b3 [4 A' C6 Z9 K$ ]- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ' Q' {, @- ~$ _* u: o
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
