Breaking News: Death at Jackpine mine

D% T- c& O% v' wShell Canada has confirmed to Mix News that a death has occurred at the Shell Albian Sands Jackpine oil sands mine 75 kilometres north of Fort McMurray.' O" z" U! R: k, a

Emergency crews responded to the scene at around 7:15 am, and the individual was transported to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre where they were pronounced dead.
) g2 X6 u2 \) h% u* ^! O
# v: s3 J. `) V8 ~RCMP are on scene and the name of the deceased has not been released.- q4 j3 z, X# e% W: _! r
8 s$ D4 V9 Y+ G4 i" JShell says it believes the death was an "isolated event", and "does not appear to be related to workplace activity".
