Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales2 c0 b; r$ G$ |" O$ Q, ^5 W3 t5 A

Key Responsibilities:

5 }/ c, \) v- M x1 q& _2 ]) Y6 c• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 

% C" s8 Q* S- P0 d• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

K1 n: V; s' H• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.
" ]& J) q5 x: \" i9 f" j( _+ i
• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.9 Y# h" L& r* d) U2 m4 P+ e; @

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours.

• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.

• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin

• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

; T d" [( A) l$ s5 a3 D( z/ R• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

7 R* J5 K N* ]4 l8 S8 X: i {• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

• Travel within the assigned region.
