JOB FUNCTIONS:

" l2 _0 S& E" N5 h/ r• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

" Z  e; E3 G$ |* H/ ~) s8 Q' G7 b7 r• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

* s! `+ e  i0 f• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

2 b6 G8 U2 Q% B- b2 |• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

, u6 J  ^4 u& [! d4 G4 i* Z- |" c• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

  ]" w: d5 D8 g$ ?• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
