What is the Stable Chronic Condition (SCC) option? 9 J* z% m4 V: |9 ^0 r' NThis option is automatically included for all applicants up to age 59, and can be purchased for ages 60 to 85 (provided the applicant is eligible). 2 j1 Q# z! ?0 q3 `7 l& D# _When the option is included or purchased, exclusion 1 in the policy is modified such that, after any applicable waiting period, a stable chronic 9 s5 s; p3 R8 e/ U6 m4 icondition (as defined) is covered under the policy.
“Stable Chronic Condition” means: a condition which is under treatment and which has been controlled by consistent use of medication prescribed by a “physician”; and$ a* Y A+ x& B' I" C5 Y9 A& l
• there have been no new symptoms or change in symptoms; and/or ) F3 X7 C' ]: f# B& i• there has been no “hospitalization”or change in treatment, medication or dosage in the 180 days prior to the “effective date” of this policy. - n3 H- g* O* K8 P' `, d$ q7 @If “your” “physician” has determined that “your” health condition has improved and changes “your” treatment or medication or its dosages due to “your” improved health condition, this does not constitute a change.
