Two men seriously injured after car hits light pole on Henday

EDMONTON — Police were investigating after two men were seriously injured Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on Anthony Henday Drive.
# f: P0 Y# |% K* E3 I. @An Audi A4 lost control travelling westbound on the Henday south of the bridge between 184th Street and Terwillegar Drive at about 4:50 p.m., crossed over to the eastbound lanes and struck a light pole, the Edmonton Police Service said in a news release./ k+ _- U4 A+ q3 F9 t1 L! a
One man was ejected from the vehicle, EPS spokeswoman Anna Bachelor said. One of the victims was airlifted to hospital by STARS air ambulance, and the other man was treated and taken to hospital by paramedics. Both men are in their mid-20s.

The Henday eastbound between 184th Street and Terwillegar Drive was expected to be closed for the next several hours as police investigate. Westbound traffic was reduced to one lane and motorists were being asked to avoid the area.; _* Y9 G/ H1 c O3 m( Z* {
