The pain of our loss is beyond anything we could
# w1 `& |& j8 _> have ever imagined. Over
0 f9 H3 e9 v1 C8 A( k2 J) G" p> and over again people tell us that they could never
& H+ @" f5 ^2 O8 g0 l> begin to understand the
+ v5 r3 Z  A. J; @' g$ i> depth of our loss. That is true. But we know of One
> who does understand and
> feel our pain because He lost His son, too. It
3 K9 w$ p" Z+ ?3 I( l3 ]0 N9 F> happened when God gave the
5 a* g; v7 h5 e> sinless life of His son ant the cross to redeem
> sinful lives and to purchase
> forgiveness for us all. There days later, He raised
2 P+ d0 H0 b7 u9 ?> His son from the dead
  E# j6 _2 {" X$ {+ M7 u> and conquered death. It is though this event where
" t4 P3 ?- B* N; S$ H2 U> human history was
6 B& T" e/ N, x> intersected by divine grace and mercy that we have
> hope. This hope, that's
* i8 K; t$ O0 ?/ s( D- s> what's sustaining us. It's not an idle wish, but a
> certainty based on the
> promise of God. And this hope fills us with eager
: X' Z8 D( s' O: P$ R8 c> anticipation and a longing
> for the time when we shall be forever with the Lord.
> It is this hope that
> will ease the pain of our loss, as the Prince of

> and says to be still and know that I am God.
