h! L8 S- n/ [8 tand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 1 N9 E& M1 o$ d0 H3 L, B/ d2 D( j
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
! ?' W/ C( u4 ?& `0 d' M, ]. M( tscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

+ y1 h4 Q( g9 S X2 x" T4 f" IJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 4 E6 I7 S! H' X+ O. `& o/ w
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 2 H' J' ?) T$ ?5 t7 j
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
/ ?4 h& c1 u6 _0 c; t# L- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
: c% X# t/ v3 z" m' B- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books $ Z! E) g1 ?" V4 D' f
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
( d4 g8 o" E# m# ?, `4 T- B- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ; G4 j& m8 b9 E8 t4 j g9 @
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 3 q" t% Q' p( F' n* q

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 6 J; x! c; P& R4 p! b
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
% Q2 J+ A- y5 I6 O7 \0 c- Strong organizational skills 9 N# C/ I2 e1 N% g8 K- H8 F5 c
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 4 q& X! n4 d ^/ Z) D, [
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal + x+ g$ b6 Y2 G; t
- Strong team player abilities + C8 a. f$ D6 x- R v) X- [
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
