Position Overview  
8 h6 `1 H1 ]; \7 z; e The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

9 `4 X& i! s. K -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
$ g4 r' E% s1 B' R7 R& P-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
9 C" V; a' n/ v2 F4 K& ~8 z! [-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

0 V0 O* `* H2 L6 i( b - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
+ o/ C' S7 u$ Q-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
' k5 y1 s) `. ?7 K. h3 v. J-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
! f2 ^3 [: x& t3 }0 k9 v) S7 J, B-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
