Edmonton police have arrested and charged a 26-year-old man with a weapon offence, following several recent gun complaints in the southwest community of Riverbend.- g# p6 s P9 j6 }* I* B
" d7 a/ F& e8 K; E; Z8 \8 I) M4 A) N) bA male wearing a balaclava and carrying a handgun was spotted by a pedestrian walking in the area of Falconer Road and Riverbend Road at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. o& @- e6 N L `8 r : y4 q% V' U6 f2 n4 kPolice arrested the man later in the afternoon at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre, after receiving a tip from a resident. 1 w/ a$ R" X6 \1 }0 h ! K# C2 z" @( P- l) UA search of the man's home turned up a BB pistol and balaclava matching the description given by witnesses.
