An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned.7 u- j7 y* e" m# ~# L

According to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.

She lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.1 g2 h0 V O, j. k; b9 {, ^% C' I
+ ?/ A% c; H" ^9 s) t/ dThe man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.( I9 [/ S; L/ S0 i3 x+ N3 a

Search efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.( I. o. d( r! D# ?5 ?

A Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
