Yes, I had the same experience. You need to get the 12 months of house sale prices of your neighborhood to support your claim that your property is over assessed in value. As well, inspector will physically show up and view your property. Make your house messy(not dirty), that will likely change the impression of the value of your property. Good luck! (Again this is really subjective, but the sale number and value of houses in same neighborhood is same as your assessed value, then your chance of lowering it down is slim.)
