& @; {! g o, D% lOn March 26, 2015, the Government of Alberta announced an increase in the liquor5 T$ ^5 N1 ^* @7 w- y
mark-up rates. The new rates will be effective as of March 27, 2015.

) e# N; R: ~' pThe increase is a 22-cent per litre increase for most products. The exceptions are7 n. i, W C% Y7 c7 \
products from small breweries, and products from cottage wineries that sell at farmers’
% ?* x& R+ a$ E2 R* @9 v& m- tgates/markets, with no increase. Mid-sized breweries have an increase of 11 cents per: m5 t8 I4 b! Y% U( {: J. @5 e
litre applied to their products. This across-the-board increase maintains the flat nature
6 s; r5 w. Z* y% Eof Alberta’s liquor mark-up. In addition, Alberta will still have liquor mark-up rates that% t/ ]. m2 D- F" j. H. a) N

· Beer: 90 cents per dozen; approximately 8 cents per 341ml bottle or 355ml can.+ Q, H, m# W8 ?& b) E! p
· Spirits: Approximately 16 cents per 750ml bottle.
