Job Description : Description of Accountability

2 R4 D, w q1 A7 f/ n: {+ ZAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:

; e/ J) v0 m4 k8 f7 ?' Q. B- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
6 s' b9 r. x& N9 O! w- g6 P7 {- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
8 H: s( p9 L. L, h! V. I1 a- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. / B8 l8 U4 }8 @$ m
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. - l1 [6 e/ d& C6 J% K4 ^# |
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. # I( z7 E0 h3 d+ E- s
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 4 i m2 [9 C) a6 }4 E# e
- Managing shift expense budgets.

Experience and Education Requirements
) v, Q4 `; v" m* x+ t" T: k1 s9 x- _
- Previous supervisory experience
" L6 s2 k7 s9 D" e. Q- Strong leadership skills
& Z5 H& u8 x0 n5 b0 c- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
& `6 i2 J" W; D! g A! }. o, R- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
" q! z8 N" d7 I; x- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
- Q6 M/ d/ G; ~* E, n' g y' ]- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
