Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
& l6 c3 ]' j$ x/ Y: O$ zwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
0 r$ z( R% f( y% W/ pprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.# ~6 r9 |5 \1 O' {) Z6 K5 m# N
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
5 s* x0 [0 o0 E) {6 `artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.1 c+ D" D9 k* t% R
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
; Q, F( S: L! @: Cvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the* V: W+ k* V* R! J F& G9 l
recyclables.1 p0 t+ H+ L: Q( U
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
/ B8 m$ m8 e8 a# ~$ l8 J cpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.) F. }# }! i- r2 a& V
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
. N; z% f3 L% u! A* g" `9 hthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late* n" g2 K: M% o& P% Z
hours are part of this crew’s duties.- ~9 P* l; C0 R# |+ U
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
, U! i$ _) n( z+ E% a1 L; c6 Z, Rfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
( V- i" }0 A" |6 {* m) tprograms to visitors to the festival.$ b1 m/ `7 i3 a" `
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
/ Z4 J# F( O0 `9 g$ H3 W' q$ J% _everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.% W/ z K; z3 N& ]( \2 ~) k5 Z- S
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
! V, _. B1 W+ N) ~4 N) l8 uevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
' k! W6 \$ s8 G5 d7 J- jfestival.4 E8 O! m. ?& {- J9 C
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is+ H3 r; n. Z, K# V7 i8 h
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
/ p1 p) t0 r8 r# ^9 jare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
: F- q4 B M. K: O) x& [1 bStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
4 Y( c6 c |3 C; qand/or understanding of back stage procedures." l) s" Z* N, f; S, k8 i6 R- a
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
Y, {& N* `% p' E& ^& nrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as# a+ w& C% K8 x, w
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival/ n( `) O$ W9 x o
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
