/ s& }* p# \1 I( `Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
/ ^! U5 m* J7 o* F8 \work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
# t L+ e: h. h3 {& q* }prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.$ v9 z; b+ I% n1 C7 a" G. X! t
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
& ]6 X o+ ~: N c% A5 |2 n# Tartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
) _% V q5 F8 j* |* v2 WEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
# \, f1 @+ G! {# r! S* z8 Hvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the# O/ U; @: f. h5 }7 g; x
recyclables.5 g6 s8 ?: M, L) q- B" _6 W5 Y
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be4 B. l ]* k) y, P( n' C! D( I9 z& m
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
) ~0 m6 `- p9 n* E, r# H! HHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing( L A& z1 G m; l, ]8 t9 ^
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late# q% T( N, E0 ?% k1 E
hours are part of this crew’s duties.$ J6 R/ h6 s! s! I: t% p$ B( h
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
& S/ M: N* v' gfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide; `0 [$ C0 |# v* e h
programs to visitors to the festival.* C; O' v5 v3 R# n& ^. u
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
! U4 K9 |3 q; H! neveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.$ G7 y# F$ s1 W; B# h% j; u
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed4 u; {. R# ]2 i
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
, w/ n$ a( F. R5 _festival.
* ]5 W$ X0 \2 \- `9 iSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is3 n% G# [' _) s: S. S* z j
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you" o9 |) p; ^0 T/ W
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.% X2 l1 f* ^6 r( d
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training% G7 {; c) x- T0 ^2 C; M
and/or understanding of back stage procedures." O( F9 s" ] Q' Y, [5 w; g' p
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be- i& I7 [# s- h" P
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as% H# _3 f5 O) E! W4 p+ x2 t9 w
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival/ X$ t2 }3 T+ ^6 J! @
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
