Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
$ G3 G' ^" K" ~+ R2 pwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft) u, Y# V# _& e; J; T) I6 c- I F
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
. B& |" x0 C5 E9 p! x5 {! uChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the- D( l; v9 r! j! d& S7 D
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
# \9 S( m/ I$ y4 _0 m9 Y! T2 l1 REnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
7 m) W9 c. v5 W e0 Z; d' |visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the# I9 h+ x. @ X/ s! S" c
recyclables.
1 v2 q/ }: ?9 }/ t, Z* FFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be* r! |2 A, [- b$ q9 E8 A+ T
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
; c9 v; o$ D/ [' UHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing& t0 v& p4 v9 l, e* f! \
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late/ t$ h/ ]$ n" K. m7 q) h+ i; |% \
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
& U7 c* A0 Z7 c8 N/ zInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
) k6 }4 {. z8 Q) ]" d3 |6 e1 l! rfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide" }- t% T& s6 k
programs to visitors to the festival.
8 T# U# { Y, w" C" {4 ~7 nKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
5 d' A: @: W' U x! F' u' v Ueveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience. s p6 D. e4 w9 l2 c
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
) s0 ~% Z# `. j H0 l7 X( \+ oevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the; P( C) k1 g: k: c# V3 r
festival.* a) a4 ]; g3 I
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is& K; `& P: R! R* q9 E& Y
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you. b9 i9 U; z: A
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
% Z4 a H; v! W% RStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training, t* G) M9 w L6 P* [0 P
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.4 p! Q) y8 H% E
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
, @; U1 ]9 p' ]3 N8 p6 Urequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as, C9 f& i( _4 _% v: I+ G
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
! |: M/ e8 q/ N b( kstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
