" I; h5 S2 {) A8 ywork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft2 Y' d" a+ T( @* |& i8 F. x
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
" i! J% N Y! F+ GChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
9 w1 R7 |. Z$ k# p- d4 Fartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.. @& M1 ?$ |! O! L
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
9 Q5 ^. Z; k0 ~2 M7 G i8 Pvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
' t" P2 F3 ]4 N$ n( W) Drecyclables.7 E% q% B. Z. k% c D
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
z& Y! w0 j. @$ cpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.* J- A" C. |8 W, N3 A2 E6 w
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
* T7 t' e3 f5 sthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
D2 i- h A. U# j( ]8 T& Fhours are part of this crew’s duties.! q! a; i& c" v5 i- L% g+ [4 E4 V& n
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the! Z6 c8 G1 Z! B, U2 J
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide, o( S7 W! [* i. Q9 I
programs to visitors to the festival.& h9 J, z4 J8 n q
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
) e' u, M/ G$ T9 T. ieveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.+ ^* i% g) Y2 B3 f/ v, V% A& {
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed( V) j* d9 K0 u8 r7 k% t' Z1 H
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the W! o# [1 w+ B
festival.
3 |9 u ]; Q9 ^9 S, P2 `% _7 _Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is" g3 p$ t# @3 F w" N
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
! R0 }& f' Z6 Pare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
7 I0 l4 A+ m/ lStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
9 n( I) S. e( g5 qand/or understanding of back stage procedures.% y8 ]0 K5 N0 ]( ^6 ~
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be) o8 E7 T: B6 A7 K% t! f" v
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as8 p Z! ~1 x8 p# R6 i7 w8 H% M9 v
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival; T1 L8 m6 K, Y: L2 q* R
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
