FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the 2 n$ e; s3 ?8 c- w i* g
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 5 a4 c/ x- H, R; N+ k& D/ l
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
4 G0 C. ^. l: ?1 ]6 @8 RAlberta.

9 v' k. {# L3 H! g- \FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 3 [ i, V0 a: A8 X( z
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video _1 m5 w7 n- t `0 j
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
5 |! X# O& d1 lresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
5 U- w9 b9 g6 `# I8 p0 kscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
3 L. W5 n4 h9 Z; A& h5 K# ]FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
; o* ?) N/ L; T2 b6 R) b4 A, ~well as the script, magazine and book library. 9 ^" K( p, a, Z/ {! T J
% V! B( [' q I, Q4 E* I/ ADuties: 1 N9 D- p( a5 H+ X+ l7 B! ?! i6 Z. k
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
+ ^0 f6 s k. `% x- I5 W/ h- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
, S4 ? X( M3 \+ { F- Implement a catalogue template for future use * X! I* C/ C# N1 i6 a. Q( k8 O+ o
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ) n! c1 E, j% x
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable , C/ n, t. ^- J# ]8 K1 Z

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-' E, _& u+ J+ F# M& B
secondary training, university preferred . F; P+ f, a: p! A
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week
