FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
8 \) k5 D8 U. Y0 a; ? d+ ^1 uemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
% y7 F, I5 ^9 t9 X, Z Iand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
+ \( m r D; f! V1 h/ fresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
1 v% b: B& Z9 i& }2 w% x+ c5 `) U* b! Ascreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the " d2 w x$ c4 k- S8 i; c. b, `
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
, B4 f" F. V# w) k' |; awell as the script, magazine and book library. 5 z; B; ]! L: w, {6 ] f

Duties:
7 }$ m! m" h/ y2 A! [; |. g- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 9 C3 a9 P2 p6 u
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
( b9 a4 p1 u' X1 \- H; [# M% _- Implement a catalogue template for future use
5 A/ n" Q$ C+ o6 Z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
) R d" Y4 F& P# M) e P3 f- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks # _: x0 g$ o- _! H

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ) W. I* t8 P% I% @5 o
- Strong organizational skills 6 H7 o( u1 u( ?. ? j; H& ^9 P4 f
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 7 I$ R7 Q+ _0 K
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 4 K" C) P, \) t, w! K) @4 R0 C8 T
- Strong team player abilities
