CITIZENSHIP PHOTOGRAPHS SPECIFICATIONS

' o K& V( Z! d( W★Citizenship photos are not the same as passport photos.
# q7 D. K$ b. H( z0 Z( CNotes to the photographer6 H [( X+ }: U9 a. ]- x! L
Please make sure that you provide:
6 d+ J2 ^' b- m+ N★ 2 identical photos, (black and white or colour) produced from the same untouched negative,
5 B: E: X& v" k. R" l0 [: d- lor exposed simultaneously by a split-image or multi-lens camera;
( o {; c$ q1 \; S' r) g★the name of the photographer or the studio, the studio address and the date the photos were taken on the back of the photos.
2 p& C9 e; Y0 J' Y2 F2 fThe photos must:
; D- J& m+ E: _- C, ]★show a full front view of the person's head centered in the middle of the photo;
. K9 r8 C) o: ^) j+ l1 a9 @★have a plain white background;* P0 T* A5 J% S1 |
★a plain white signature strip (no more than 10mm and no less than 6mm deep) at the bottom;
( x1 ]( L# s3 [$ e★be produced on single weight matte paper.+ ~) m- c/ V' A1 |9 G8 e
The photos must measure:
/ W; {. q; B, S2 M★35mm x 53mm finished size;6 V9 \. i _5 V7 `& X0 `3 @
★between 25mm and 35mm from chin to crown.' x- H& u& ?2 E3 u6 h
Notes to the applicant8 k" r7 h: n q! Y+ R9 b+ c
★citizenship photos must have been taken within 12 months of the date of the application;
$ G# u$ k& w5 ?* M6 m★do not wear a head covering unless you wear one because of your religion; # t+ R ^; e, B( P
★print the name of the person on the back of the photos; , H9 s3 U! ~9 W* G9 \: [; i
★adults and children 14 years of age and older must sign their name in black or blue ink in the white signature area below each+ ~/ A) h3 q" n
photo. Do not print. For children under 14 years of age, leave the signature strip blank and print the name of the child on the) o, w. J1 O- L& D) y! g# L
back of the photos;

Do not staple, glue or otherwise attach the photos directly to the application.

For applicants under 14 years of age leave signature strip blank. Parent must NOT sign child's photo.6 C( Q/ s7 C7 R& X. j5 m& z2 ~
Note: In the case of a child under 12 months of age, photos do not need to meet the citizenship specifications.
