Notes to the photographer
8 [7 [, {* s9 d) g8 Z6 l. [. xPlease make sure that you provide:
; m# Q- G( ]6 g; f3 @ x★ 2 identical photos, (black and white or colour) produced from the same untouched negative, 6 n- P7 ?3 u* q3 h1 l
or exposed simultaneously by a split-image or multi-lens camera;
! y% G. U" B, U( a* [★the name of the photographer or the studio, the studio address and the date the photos were taken on the back of the photos.# ?. {. X, A* y. f( G Z6 f
The photos must:
9 B q; z) V8 t* D★show a full front view of the person's head centered in the middle of the photo;
9 X M9 o9 m3 H- a$ `# r! P- H% P7 N# c★have a plain white background;8 K! o5 q( }% L# B2 Y4 A! {
★a plain white signature strip (no more than 10mm and no less than 6mm deep) at the bottom;
; j/ ]: R. e: v( p9 L★be produced on single weight matte paper.) [) {; J/ c0 \) w1 ] x4 K
The photos must measure:! s# I* i U6 g
★35mm x 53mm finished size;
: t7 P" F2 a1 w% l1 s- A★between 25mm and 35mm from chin to crown.
$ \; w* R2 Q0 H, P1 ]" W1 TNotes to the applicant
7 C4 ?5 O/ A, j% P$ o★citizenship photos must have been taken within 12 months of the date of the application;; T) b. ]6 r( Q+ O2 D
★do not wear a head covering unless you wear one because of your religion;
9 O* r, i. K3 n- c. p8 N" y; k" m★print the name of the person on the back of the photos;
; ?- P, h! O! h7 T+ U" Y★adults and children 14 years of age and older must sign their name in black or blue ink in the white signature area below each
' P+ R7 y0 X0 h2 C6 v5 Ephoto. Do not print. For children under 14 years of age, leave the signature strip blank and print the name of the child on the
$ `& A9 s1 s7 r% r" A- N# cback of the photos;
$ l) q' k! |* g& n★put both signed photos in an envelope.
: U$ j0 p/ m3 @& D' E4 eDo not staple, glue or otherwise attach the photos directly to the application.! G" Y" m. ]# |
Applicants 14 years of age and over must sign within the white signature strip below each photo.
$ l. N1 h' X6 F* @) `7 C2 SFor applicants under 14 years of age leave signature strip blank. Parent must NOT sign child's photo.
8 T& a ?8 Z# @! [' PNote: In the case of a child under 12 months of age, photos do not need to meet the citizenship specifications.

Your signature must fit entirely within the white signature strip that appears at the bottom of your photos.
