Edmonton police have arrested and charged a 26-year-old man with a weapon offence, following several recent gun complaints in the southwest community of Riverbend.( N( O: H5 n/ Y0 h
2 R% S' X' C. z& l! O! _+ AA male wearing a balaclava and carrying a handgun was spotted by a pedestrian walking in the area of Falconer Road and Riverbend Road at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.3 C7 z: S# O+ H0 d% B& Z

Police arrested the man later in the afternoon at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre, after receiving a tip from a resident.

, q# z2 j* m4 J! BA search of the man's home turned up a BB pistol and balaclava matching the description given by witnesses. The man is charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes.. r5 c2 [% V/ _6 A
