这几天首相哈珀访华.加拿大人最关心的无非是之前被抓的Garratt夫妇间谍案,其次是加拿大获得中国政府批准在加成立人民币结算中心.对于这次哈珀访华事宜,加国内主流媒体报到还算客观公正.虽然事件还存争议,也有一些加拿大人表示应该理性中立的看待这次访问的成果,但是网民们的评价却是批评声居多.不满主要集中在哈珀没能够迫使中国政府无条件释放Garrattf夫妇.进而抨击哈珀政府为了"结算中心"和钱而抛弃了Garratt夫妇和民心所向.

我在想,虽说民族情感是大多数人的本性,但是也不应该被提升到法律公正的层面之上吧. 虽然我很少在网上留言发声参与政治评论,但这次还是忍不住写了篇评论发在上面那个新闻链接上. 虽然知道个人话语引不起多大涟漪,但是还是不吐不快,我也把评论附带贴在这了,欢迎大家讨论吐槽.. Y& c8 w# c+ F* _( t
Folks let's calm down and analyze the situations on balance. With regard to the "clearing hub", I don't understand what concerns some people are worried about. Is that really the best way for Canada to process the transactions of all international trades exclusively based on USD conversion? For me, "Chinese currency clearing hub" is an alternative and probably more convenient pathway to speed up the transaction process for the commercial trade between Canada and China. Let's think of it in a positive way. Maybe in the future, EU may step in and set up an Euro clearing hub in Canada. 8 @6 B# x1 X4 e9 K X. S* a
In respect of the case of the Garratt couple, it is unfair and rabid to expect Harper forcing China Government to release them before the completion of China's standard legal procedure. As Jerrold said, we shall wait and be more patient. However, we should make it clear that the couple are being treated with respect and full human rights. In fact, the couple has not been sent into jail and they are allowed to stay at their apartment under surveillance at this moment. The truth should be spread faster than the rumors!3 Q$ Q j9 I- l y$ G7 O
