Ralph Klein didn't fire all the government employees back in 1994, and was still able to balance the budget in a $13~20/bbl era.

Nothing wrong with contracting out. The worst and most expensive services are from public sector.

I kind of have to agree with your point that "we will be in much better shape if health care can be privatized" because I cannot find counter argument. Please try to make it happen. Also, don't forget to privatize education.

我不反对加税，全国就alberta没有。地税也可以适当提高。

" r6 w( y; D9 L6 u. h) g# R' {2 k. t错，跟有没有竞争力没半毛钱关系。私有化医疗系统绝对只是个政治问题，99%的加拿大人认为health care is an entitlement not a servive. Healthcare privatization is politically incorrect in canada and 永远是票房毒药。我倒是支持public and private mix, 在这方面alberta已经比其他省份走的远不少了，但你没看政客做事的时候还是半遮半掩的怕反对党炒作吗？
