Magrath/ MacTaggart Kindergarten afternoon care needed

: S& G# o: g6 u/ x1 |1 a8 I; w0 C We live in Magrath Heights and we are currently struggling with our 5-year-old daughter's to Kindergarten registration.  I wonder if there are parents in Magrath, MacTaggart area who are struggling with this issue as well. I wish to explore possibilities to group up and help each other out on making our lives easier with the half-day kindergarten program.

To kick it off, here are my two cents.

& v/ M- S7 h/ r+ v* z1 D We need to make up our mind as to which school to register to since one kid can only send in ONE registration at a time, and it can be really hard to switch school in the middle of the year. Currently there are two options for my daughter:

; p, t1 B( j! n, V9 Q& M4 ~$ }) HOption 1: Regular program - a new school - Nellie Carlson(http://www.epsb.ca/schools/newsc ... ions/nelliecarlson/) is under construction and scheduled to open September 2016; boundaries not finalized yet.
. h: T8 c) D. q+ m2 c9 p No on site child care available.

) U4 [6 Q$ G+ e* r/ B IF we fall under the final boundary, what to do with the afternoons? My husband and I both work full-time 30 minutes drive from home. I maybe able to take one afternoon off in a week, part-time is not likely an option.

- Z% M- x. F4 @Option 2: Mandarin Bilingual program - Parkallen School where there is a YMCA KinderCare close by, $755 a month, AND there is a wait list.
) n5 e4 n( s1 G# M Honestly, I wish to send my daughter to the Mandarin Bilingual school, but again, there is the afternoon issue, YMCA is not guaranteed and expensive. I wonder if there are other parents considering this school and we could come up with a program to support each other and incorporate with Chinese elements.
