I wonder if there are parents in Magrath, MacTaggart area who are struggling with this issue as well. I wish to explore possibilities to group up and help each other out on making our lives easier with the half-day kindergarten program.5 w5 Q- K9 T, w% s1 ?5 s( g

. y5 v9 t* N$ t We need to make up our mind as to which school to register to since one kid can only send in ONE registration at a time, and it can be really hard to switch school in the middle of the year. Currently there are two options for my daughter:# z/ u) r; o( _0 E; G: Q% `+ D3 {5 N

Option 1: Regular program - a new school - Nellie Carlson(http://www.epsb.ca/schools/newsc ... ions/nelliecarlson/) is under construction and scheduled to open September 2016; boundaries not finalized yet. # i+ U) S$ B C
No on site child care available. : Z. Z# {2 k0 }: B. G6 v

IF we fall under the final boundary, what to do with the afternoons? My husband and I both work full-time 30 minutes drive from home. I maybe able to take one afternoon off in a week, part-time is not likely an option.: z# ]5 {8 Y& p5 e# v
5 u) p, ]$ t/ Y, ~8 rOption 2: Mandarin Bilingual program - Parkallen School where there is a YMCA KinderCare close by, $755 a month, AND there is a wait list. t1 U( _! C& }5 g* A1 O
Honestly, I wish to send my daughter to the Mandarin Bilingual school, but again, there is the afternoon issue, YMCA is not guaranteed and expensive. I wonder if there are other parents considering this school and we could come up with a program to support each other and incorporate with Chinese elements. 3 D- @ s5 _' A' W. O1 i9 v
