As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:- i2 p6 C- ]8 a2 N7 s! v1 L* k) P
/ C: G% _) ^) D9 g. t
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. : p2 j9 U( p1 ` ?1 Z" k! i. P4 y5 y
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
r% q: M$ _/ Z- J q- [ H7 C- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
9 O% m- W3 {; P. ~- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
) J" g1 ~5 S2 o- ~% @2 Z- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. $ _6 ^# Z! f7 }2 E4 a
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
! `: z) {/ p+ H$ W9 L" Z2 ^3 f- Managing shift expense budgets. 5 N Q: R2 n' ^! A# B
; V7 U9 l& H. ^; MExperience and Education Requirements
) b) x/ M& S7 Y9 \1 S
# P4 P3 m6 [# s+ @, ^. d! Y- Previous supervisory experience
% }8 }* Y% J. ?, q9 T3 u- Strong leadership skills
6 U0 R5 p2 y- A$ f* x% ~7 [- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
4 W5 k1 U9 J# @* f: I$ m& z& [- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills + l( b4 |" I' [/ j# O5 w
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations 0 Q. h( |8 s1 z# o
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.- t* v2 o( U$ M: _" Z G3 v
