Job Description : Description of Accountability
1 I; D9 r# k: l% R/ ~* X5 a7 c0 V
As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:( B5 b" _( h) [6 m
+ d( b; r; R! s O- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. / F* z8 m% {# k7 x( n2 W6 u& [. R
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
( l5 e% Q) I1 ?1 w- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 1 U" J7 J* r h: ]) e" e
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. : t( F# u& i+ g2 W: q# H
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. $ ]9 s1 w+ o2 F, U5 q# j
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).

Experience and Education Requirements
+ W+ J4 A6 P! L7 d+ y$ d" Q1 P! z
& u9 w' q+ E$ c- Previous supervisory experience . l) m4 e* q- ^& q% S
- Strong leadership skills ' A& C6 k; E0 K+ G( | N, ]
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma 3 Q- e3 Y5 t/ k+ m7 k2 s
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
2 T! }+ S. K# {' w, S- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations + |0 p; n U" Y8 W2 W, _5 J* X
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
