As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
3 R; j8 d! C. m5 g/ N# x2 X' n0 _& _; [3 h6 m! n+ C
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. s1 c# ^. Y5 t
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
' T+ U" m& c# P* i* S# n4 W2 U, L- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
0 H& U2 A* \7 F, w- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
9 {4 [- Z; J. q- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. ; B. X& g, e( h3 O6 t
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
3 X" Q" u+ K/ y* r% [ O- Managing shift expense budgets.

Experience and Education Requirements

- Previous supervisory experience
, s1 H; g) R) x' h4 m' W- Strong leadership skills
0 b8 @2 O9 t9 v! V5 J) i0 h- A minimum of grade 12 diploma + i' M" f% m) e1 c! _: T
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
: F# V, p" ?# _' u }( a- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations 8 o/ i1 W/ S. O4 { R3 S4 M; B
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
