Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and, P& l4 t- G# F$ f# n* t# c
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft: e+ v$ S+ L) r2 A+ q2 ~' S8 r
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
; T6 a5 R d$ g9 hChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
7 n: U, P8 y8 J! _) Iartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.3 `; U; u: u* [6 d4 F! z
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
0 ^/ {4 I R G: b6 I+ P: Z' D+ Gvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
' [. |: {3 ~/ ]9 a2 |% {. E9 f3 crecyclables.
+ I+ X2 p) n% b6 S: dFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be8 g4 }6 O/ V6 u. R" s% L& t
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
* c+ e8 Y/ X6 }* e8 _/ s. V8 N0 hHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
" @5 o& `. h6 pthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late8 M5 X% E$ J% i& Y: h8 i* i
hours are part of this crew’s duties.: X# J `9 v" C8 E5 O
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the; G2 A3 K0 V/ E) c( A
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
5 b" D! y$ S& c0 s8 Dprograms to visitors to the festival.$ j8 b' d! [. j' q( a
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
% i6 ]% d. m. w* b: Zeveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.# {0 ]' n1 O7 C( W, n6 ?' E: H
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed, ?( F, K. P6 y4 \' }* }
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the5 s& p* E* ?* l% m. g( @
festival.
6 E2 T1 h/ k- s# `9 m/ `Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is5 h, r0 p, H# n7 E
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you$ i" h, u: o2 t7 I" ^" u+ T
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
; X, Y) w" f* L6 A3 eStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training0 ?& `7 E3 ~" g7 U0 V8 @
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
) C8 H" [* e4 O) vTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be1 H( a v3 K3 d5 p/ a
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
7 U, p; \% }. |5 ] m- Sairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival' X$ |; @! v4 |3 R5 @: A* y
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
