festival.
, U8 A9 r6 m+ e! ~8 V( q; KBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and+ Z3 X/ E) q- e0 g: t9 J
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
6 P% a. ?! H: \4 Dprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
: l$ f0 P% ~3 m3 bChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the% B+ ?& [. g' M) k( P9 a- y, J
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
+ n0 V1 P% H. i9 G$ ^5 @3 LEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for0 e" y. _* p U
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the5 [% B/ ]# ~' g2 w8 t* _& E4 J9 g
recyclables.
) @0 R5 Q# b' }Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
4 t$ {: Z0 a T) _part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.1 U4 `9 M& c ?1 F+ t. R- `( Y
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
7 U E6 ]. j9 ^! V4 z) fthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late) r* v* v% X. A
hours are part of this crew’s duties.6 o! {2 T1 w+ p0 u9 _7 t3 u
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the9 W. ~+ u1 V8 q. z" ^0 I( R
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
) b) }% I9 R, z& mprograms to visitors to the festival.
+ }2 L& \5 Z' YKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for, a/ L! }$ H* x# ?% t
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
Q- X# p+ x* r( D* L5 x' XOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
* S) y# D; \0 \8 |$ @events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the! p' t M6 A, k$ l8 {- n$ }
festival.
e U3 \: C. o6 S; }0 y% C. y5 U/ ?Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
% n* e4 b# A! B- Soperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
9 a5 o; v& h& M6 A3 rare physically fit and ready for any emergency.- T+ a, B* C) l4 n3 [6 r$ G
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training0 B) L& `1 l% @9 p$ i
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
2 {" X9 t2 u4 ?2 E) s& xTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be6 h: f8 t1 G- Y( j+ @
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
1 Q7 E* {: o2 Z7 ^airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival: C' W4 ^1 ^; `: _7 W. b# Q: @
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
