Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the6 Y, L u9 A" c! a$ M0 N
festival.
$ Y9 Q- ?. m4 C7 n' Q) }Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
+ w* j0 w$ r4 H u4 b7 w kwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
* c2 c2 m7 A! e" N% e- Lprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
. Q, K4 K% ]0 d% l# p7 H6 LChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the5 p2 `1 d. q2 [# t/ X1 `
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.3 v; s; r# i/ s' u* B0 }2 ~
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for# f, [& Q* g4 h8 o& Q) q
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
+ g% Y5 T7 M2 G; o% }recyclables.& B3 g7 o. I8 p: R3 s
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be9 F% H. v7 Q& g& d, E, i# n( e& o2 R
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
* H0 J- N' C) F) E1 ^Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
3 N* F2 d7 r: M \them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
' F/ X H9 C$ ^hours are part of this crew’s duties.
2 f( L6 @+ n* b {Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
" \! J; `, T. m- ~% Q* y/ O- pfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
" L. E9 y3 Y) n$ I& ]; O' xprograms to visitors to the festival.
( ~; t/ @- Z" ]Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
& Z% n% [# C8 u8 R1 _everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.5 t& V7 |) c3 C2 c* i* G" p! O L
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
) p: c- \* L: V# o: @3 Nevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the0 v( _, l, N6 \% \& u
festival.
0 N$ r; D9 F; Y1 [) j1 ` TSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is( u+ e, l0 F. i: h% ~, ~8 u2 r9 R
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you/ z9 T/ U% {. S: @: f* f
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.' K. z& w) t1 b- g1 M5 f1 L
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training, z% ^$ ^9 ^ P7 u9 z3 s0 T F
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.3 k9 E; W C4 L
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
: x" ]' v3 @* ~9 K5 y9 Krequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
9 X2 f; s$ a, `( A, a5 Dairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival. n3 v" ^! |; H( \8 E1 L+ {' [
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
