The pain of our loss is beyond anything we could

% {' W; p( E# L. T/ q# A> and over again people tell us that they could never
> begin to understand the
> depth of our loss. That is true. But we know of One
- S" t1 M& d0 |5 b: q; E' V$ r> who does understand and
+ v( U4 _. v; e$ g> feel our pain because He lost His son, too. It
> happened when God gave the
$ |. h1 k( B! {5 }4 ^( x4 J% E> sinless life of His son ant the cross to redeem
> sinful lives and to purchase
> forgiveness for us all. There days later, He raised
- ]9 q7 E( t" S* \1 |> His son from the dead
> and conquered death. It is though this event where
> human history was
> intersected by divine grace and mercy that we have
7 h0 v0 ~3 n% ]: C5 x4 h/ H> hope. This hope, that's
! g; `0 v) [1 Y2 C- Y. L> what's sustaining us. It's not an idle wish, but a
- F* {! W* [# l2 C) {9 q> certainty based on the
# |9 O4 _0 ~! t& Q/ V" J3 m> promise of God. And this hope fills us with eager
0 ^* }* ^7 m  X: n8 x6 {3 c> anticipation and a longing
> for the time when we shall be forever with the Lord.

> will ease the pain of our loss, as the Prince of
1 e5 l8 h8 b: C5 x0 K. J> Peace comes to our hearts
> and says to be still and know that I am God.
