, m6 h2 g) b- x9 yEdmonton — Homicide detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead in a west-end apartment yesterday morning.

- r- H1 r% U$ X* Q# tAmbulance personnel were called to the building at 9023 184 St. at around 4:20 a.m., found the body of a 50-year-old woman inside one of the suites, and called police.

) Q4 H7 S% V! r7 G. M& dInvestigators have not released the cause of death, but are calling the death suspicious.

: s6 ]! S% N+ A& e& Q1 dPolice say the address is known to west division officers, who have responded to the suite several times in the past for family-related disturbances.

Officers are speaking to a 20-year-old man who lived in the suite with the woman.

Yellow police tape surrounded the entrance to the eight-unit, three-storey tall building as tight-lipped EPS officers walked in and out of the home throughout the day.) F9 U9 r; @3 F* M

A twisted samurai-style sword lay on the ground a few steps from the entrance, the only sign of anything amiss in the quiet complex.
