whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

3 p6 H! [4 e( |8 dFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
; @. Z' x/ J `, Lemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video $ r- p; l3 O. t
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
4 u ~7 Y8 `3 J% j% y3 nresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 0 r+ S4 ^& T0 T5 |# {/ F
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 3 ? c0 n+ O0 ~1 A
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by $ e! M: L0 j+ a B
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

9 }2 a1 I5 ]$ b P- Assist with research on acquisition grants : C t, U% D4 d/ z( D
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
) \/ \+ X7 s2 w( G/ e- Assist with equipment maintenance " @+ r- M7 X! l9 h+ u
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
. l& w: c% z" F" J6 h- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff $ D% {) v( n W( o0 C* a
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ; q" ^5 C, E5 i% t A! Y
- Provide vacation relief

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-( [- l P$ i8 M& G

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
