support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ! f3 C2 @: }# a3 b, ^
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
$ h; w) H8 j; t4 l# m) ~screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the " x) G8 Y5 t; ]! x
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
( V! f- z; p Y7 V4 k0 L, M# ]well as the script, magazine and book library. 0 X6 b4 z* j* s, w9 _
* w; L% D5 u0 t Q" j7 tDuties:
( W9 L$ d/ C, h4 o3 _- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ! X) Q' K& E* ]& C# ~
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
8 J4 Q$ W; h0 u% J7 E- Implement a catalogue template for future use ( u0 G! ?8 ^. L- E& ]
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
! P6 X* y0 \; u4 A& D. P) Z- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 1 h' T X4 G0 t& x# w7 ?7 E4 b

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 9 m( ]# d- l5 C5 ^. }
- Strong organizational skills . t- ~; g( G+ j v! G! h
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
