support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

/ [# {. o( Q6 T2 N2 `1 J& e' N' ]$ q8 gFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
; M* r7 a7 ~- pemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video " T$ T" B( r+ c; a
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ( Z+ C) X8 s: V
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and , @7 Z" M$ E3 {% n% G8 J7 M
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern " a: ?4 _( [) X9 X- O* R9 d9 L

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
( p+ e. r3 j" k% r7 S, o; X$ UFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 5 O: @* T" O6 U& M
well as the script, magazine and book library.

% I2 I* Y: U9 k1 r2 i5 d7 r- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
! A/ `' ^' r% V4 P+ D: V" T- Implement a catalogue template for future use
6 o, B# ^- L9 t. V- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 0 R7 F, E# M* ?3 ?! m
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: " ~6 ?8 @ i G' P# F C8 y" H' x
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
- x1 I7 {# k" D- Strong organizational skills - P+ o& e' v4 ]$ `9 `% l# {
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
