Y0 x6 R" A0 r, |- J The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
. ]; x" V& J# M5 L-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
8 D. x% d. J% G3 p-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
% }  Y$ h; d2 N4 c- G/ M/ L  ]6 t-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
5 d9 a0 B3 @' }+ y& J8 z6 z% h-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;

  ?( n  K# \+ T. ?- V' u Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
, r4 z6 i  G, Y4 l2 e1 U-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
. k, C8 a: C6 F! H. e: u-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
' t! m) P2 @8 m1 Y+ n' v( p6 {-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
5 ~/ y* k- B( W) O2 J-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
2 g0 u+ L& d" h& P. W# z' x  W6 x-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
