Position Title: Outreach Worker

Job Description
' N7 I' \3 [6 {" p! Y: c$ O-promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
6 z6 P* F2 e7 x: e- F-promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
- O  F8 W' e- o! R2 j-recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
. Z) J8 y( d/ H, m) c0 ^-promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
* [8 |6 P+ g4 w. P; K6 |7 Z5 x; K; v-outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
-attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
$ K. p; S: i2 B% x6 f' v-adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
-report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities

-other duties as assigned

& E/ J" k$ N: j$ s$ j-degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
8 u4 J' c. z7 W6 K* F-knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
-good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
-fluent in English and Chinese

-valid driver’s license
