Job Description:

JOB FUNCTIONS:

' L5 ]+ H" Y: U, c• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.
' A7 K0 x2 h/ b* A0 r( g
• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

$ Q4 U* C" A: O• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

( z+ a. E) J0 X4 z7 Q0 Z  ?• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

( L# p& a8 h) y$ B8 k! l% M• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

% N3 g, e( J6 J) h$ H• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

& R8 L* c! j! i) [7 r8 v" M% v• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

/ O, y9 x! a7 ^• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

, h  E1 n5 l8 G• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

6 B- F, X. X0 \' S• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

  R5 f+ Q: ~, m* Y; J-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
