About us:
We are two young individuals who run our own investment fund in Edmonton.
1 r$ e" d; t- {) f8 a. t: ?
Investment strategy:
7 J6 N" B7 ?. P: W; fWe follow the investment style of Ben Graham and Warren Buffet. We seek to buy shares in publicly traded companies that are priced at significant discount to their intrinsic value. We also seek to buy shares in great companies at reasonable price.  We have a long term investment horizon and are willing to hold great companies forever. Our fund invests in U.S. and Canadian public equities, though we will also look at opportunities in Europe and other regions.
/ Y; E1 v) R9 T+ u1 a4 W
The opportunity:
We are looking for two analysts who are interested in value investing to join our team. This is neither a full time nor salaried position - the only people who are the right fit for this position are those who are truly interested in value investing. However, there is opportunity down the road to be a partner of the fund.

If interested, please send your resume to valueinvestingfund@gmail.com. We will notify you if you are selected for an interview. We will be conducting interviews until we find the right people.

We understand your concern about privacy and confidentiality, as such, interested applicants can choose to submit a one page investment thesis about a stock of your choice, in lieu of your resume.

: {! }9 Q+ x8 XI have been contributing to this website for a while now and this is the first time someone has accused me of trying to scam people - I personally know the partners / analysts of the fund and I assure you this is not a scam (what's there to scam for a job posting anyway...)

If you read between the lines, you will understand why the fund does away with the unnecessary costs.
9 F- `' ?/ t3 F9 O% k' L+ h* w3 p
To put it more explicitly (or to be more clear), the fund is young and in the process of growing capital, hence it needs to keep operating costs to a minimum. This is also why, as mentioned in the original posting, this is neither a full time nor salaried position.

Interesting and weird fund. Like to know more about your fund.

For specific questions or further inquiries, please address them to the email noted above as the partners of the fund will be better positioned to answer them.

Without name of the fund, capital size, even a private email domain that costs no more than a few hundreds of bucks and can be made with a couple of grands in a good day trade, what kinds of analysts can you attract? IMHO, an analyst without extensive persononal investment and industry work experience is useless. You might get some rookies desperate for a paychque and does not know anything about trading beyond some lectures from university professors who do not have trading experience either.

Take all precautions before submitting any personal information.

This is not a day trading job where you sculpt the market and make "couple of grands in a good day trade" (and lose the equivalent of or more than that on a bad day). As mentioned in the posting, "We have a long term investment horizon and are willing to hold great companies forever."

; v( |# _2 L3 c( ?4 b; [9 ^Also, if you're concerned about your personal information - see the edit to the original posting:

) a. O& z( a4 o0 s5 {$ P1 ?This is a young fund. Where it stands right now is comparable to the earlier stages of a start-up as the partners are managing the dual process of making good investments as well as planning for the future/growth for the fund.
* ]' d& l" ^" j" N0 K! F  ~, M
For the analyst, you get the opportunity to partake in the start-up and growth of an investment fund, and there is the opportunity in the future to be a partner of the fund.
