An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned. CBC's Nelly Gonzalez reports. 7 R/ ~1 m8 G8 W4 b

$ w( Y! C- ?: ?, fAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.

She lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.0 J3 `# |" Q, T: c* J% ], C `" y
4 s/ \6 g, v+ F3 I; ~The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.1 q% g9 K6 S$ ^; t6 p7 [% W" l
/ p4 e8 a: s- Q, JSearch efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.

$ a/ C) _# d, M, zA Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. Rivers is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Brandon. It is near the Little Saskatchewan River, which enters the Rivers Reservoir, also known as Lake Wahtopanah.
