On March 26, 2015, the Government of Alberta announced an increase in the liquor
) J. G: \2 P9 U. }" m, j. mmark-up rates. The new rates will be effective as of March 27, 2015.

5 Z$ }2 K& f8 a% Y$ MThe increase is a 22-cent per litre increase for most products. The exceptions are
% J+ r9 _4 j8 b. ]) jproducts from small breweries, and products from cottage wineries that sell at farmers’
. Q8 R f9 w# f; }) Lgates/markets, with no increase. Mid-sized breweries have an increase of 11 cents per
1 E5 N+ p2 j: W$ O' f$ C( q0 }litre applied to their products. This across-the-board increase maintains the flat nature0 p: H- E Y. r4 Q
of Alberta’s liquor mark-up. In addition, Alberta will still have liquor mark-up rates that

Some of the impacts on the wholesale prices are:
0 ~) x- \6 ?; F+ T/ d" ~. P· Beer: 90 cents per dozen; approximately 8 cents per 341ml bottle or 355ml can.4 |4 {! }% O. \" G/ l
· Spirits: Approximately 16 cents per 750ml bottle.
