GDL考ADL，是不是非考不可？

过了两年的probation，是时候该考ADL驾照了，可下午去registry蹲点儿，发现其实通过率蛮低的，也不知道是考生不行，还是考官太“功利”，所以就想问问看ADL驾照是不是非拿不可。希望renew过GDL驾照的看客留言分享自己的经验，毕竟，可以GDL过期后若能renew，那就说明ADL也不是非拿不可。谢啦！

四年驾龄后，开着自己小车呼呼哟呦的就去考了，唯一被扣分的地方就是说我多处没查看盲点，其实我应该基本都查了，就是幅度不够，毕竟开习惯了，考试的时候还特别注意了这点。只要比平时小心别超速，过路口慢一点多看回，应该没啥问题。

ADL驾照不是非拿不可，有些人GDL开一辈子。

Demerit Accumulations
Demerits are accumulated depending on your traffic violation.

2 O# V% p2 v, @For non GDL class 5 license holders this limit is increased to 15. A warning letter will be sent to a class 5 non GDL license holder when 8 demerits are reached.

& R9 s; M; s& |6 t6 ~: VAlcohol limitations are also affected by the class of license you hold.
For class 5 GDL license holders there is zero tolerance for any alcohol in your blood whatsoever while driving.

A class 5 non GDL license holder is allowed a .05% blood alcohol level before a suspension may occur, although drinking and driving under any circumstances is highly discouraged.

Another advantage to taking your class 5 GDL road test is the option to upgrade to a commercial class license.

周日发电邮到Alberta Transportation，当时咨询的是GDL5的驾照过期后可不可以renew，他们的回复如下：

) k. S4 b+ i0 v7 {7 l( E" TYou may renew your Class 5 Graduated Driver’s License (GDL) indefinitely; until you are ready to book your Advanced Road Test (ART). All restrictions associated with the Class 5 GDL will remain until an ART is successfully completed.

& w7 l4 I0 z1 O0 Y# q; a8 T5 ^, @既然可以永久renew，说白了ART也就是考高级牌的路试就不需要考了，那为什么还要费时费力费钱地去报考ART，特别是对于未来没有计划去做卡车司机或者开校车的我们学生一族。。。

' W. u6 F  S2 X+ ?" H这是必须的，谢谢指点。陪人练车这件事真的是很危险，毕竟passenger side也没有刹车可以临时踩。

H: q, k' v  t别人没考不代表您没有考试这个概率。我觉得那么贵的考试，便宜的也要105不到，更别提那些$130-150之间的价格，所以准备充分也是对自己金钱负责，少考一次，省事省钱，用第二次的钱吃顿大餐，不比贡献给Registry要强得多？！很多人觉得路线很重要，可我觉得那只是教练的一种习惯，万一他哪个路口说错了拐弯的方向，可能全盘路线就会变，那样对强烈依赖路线的考生所带来的影响是不可小觑的。规矩就是那么多，只要勤练，我相信不管什么样的路线都能轻松过关。我觉得除了坡上parking外，parallel parking还有不同community的限速也是要熟知的，尤其是当限速牌开好久都看不见时，要知道到底哪个速度是比较合适的，宁可慢也不能快，个人认为一般的居住社区，除非马路很小的那种，正常情况下45-50是保险的。

感谢您的回复，我因为自己本身是学生的关系，其实并不想花费太多钱在考路考上，既然不是非考不可，那我也就放弃了。

一次考过了，唯一扣分就是空挡滑行。只要平时经常开车，很容易通过，除非有不良驾驶习惯

感谢您的回复，可我已经决定放弃这个考试了，原因是GDL可以一直renew，也就没必要再额外花钱考这个了

个人觉得，是学生，更应该要考。

连街上送比萨的人都有的qualification, 没有的话不太好

大部分人都是一次性考过的，只是你蹲点的时候刚好多了。我一次性就考过了，91st 39的Peter

为什么不要考呢？现在很多工作都有要求，而且好像保险还有点区别呢。
