As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:1 @( V5 C/ l0 s% A' w' g
- f" L9 _1 H5 g: ~3 r
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
% s* ?, H5 ?) ?+ w- K6 h- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. 5 P' `6 @$ A5 ~6 |9 p( l
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
( {% E& d" L& A( F' {- R- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
3 O& j5 Z" ?- g& U, Q. G7 ?- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. 9 ]! d# m. h C, K& `2 k
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 3 X1 y) f1 M0 M9 v, h r9 p1 B' `
- Managing shift expense budgets.

- Previous supervisory experience

- A minimum of grade 12 diploma 7 @# M2 ]/ N: ~) V$ p% p& h
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills ! `. w) P4 g7 @& x. P/ [
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations 0 Z! |" X* H% [4 C; _
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
