周末累死了,两天都是足球, 上班就是休息,咱接着折腾: ]2 F; u! ~7 |, n$ u, C6 J
( P, Z' y; O" r当晚，两口子把孩子轰出去，关起门来密谋了半天，做了这么几个决定。$ g' z" q# L, Z2 c T
, Y1 L5 {. z2 F$ q7 F, D: R8 P第一，参加Rick的tryout，看看他的队伍的情况再说，实在不行了去Rick的队，宁为鸡头不为牛后；第二，找Julie要来Jen的联系方式，要求参加她的队；第三，如果U12 2002队的这个新教练打来电话，先含糊着，能拖就拖。

转过天来带孩子参加了Rick的tryout。6 d& m# q' f3 `& B7 j0 g, r
& `# U* o7 ]8 N3 d% {4 x5 r
大老远Rick就看到了我们，热情的打招呼，并且介绍给我们他的助理教练Jim，好像是一个从社区队升上来的新教练。总之，两个教练都很热情。

这是他们的第三次tryout，测试项目很常规，传带，停球，配合，射门，主要考察的是孩子们的基本素质；中间十来分钟的休息，然后是小组对抗，考察的是孩子们的场上发挥。
% b# R$ d& ]6 D5 o" o3 E# q5 d3 F! ~1 h; E$ l' `. v
只有一个感觉，鹤立鸡群。

整个队伍里没有一个和女儿水平相当的球员。甚至到了后来的小组对抗基本上成了女儿一个人和另外一个小组的PK。自己在后场抢到球，盘带到对方禁区，晃过后卫/守门员，起脚射门，这样的过程反复来了三四回。这个队是刚刚从U10上来的，无论从技术还是经验上和踢了一个夏天U12的女儿还是有很大的距离的。

tryout结束后跟Rick打了个招呼，告诉他我们再考虑一下。

2 q- T4 I' i0 B3 GMy name is Jim and I’m the co-coach with the 2003 u12 team. Thank you for bringing your daughter out. I was impressed and thought she would be in our top 3 or 4 attacking players. She has good speed, a good shot and shows a competitive never quit attitude. At this point the never quit attitude is the one I rank the highest. I’ve played and still play at the highest levels of soccer in Alberta for over 20 years and I’ve seen players come and go but to play at the tier 1 and 2 level it’s the competitive drive that is needed above all else. Skills and strategy fitness can be learned but that completive drive cannot.

+ G) @. ^& j, d8 }& K$ A, W: ^. sI heard you are torn between the 2002 team which she is playing up. I will tell you that my daughter is a January 9th 2003 baby and is tall and scores a lot but I will never allow her to play up a year whether she has friends there or not. She is allowed to trialist with a 2002 team as she did last year for cities and provincials when her own u10 team was done but never full time and I’ll tell you why. Our goal, mine and Rick’s is to build on our core girls over the next three years so that we can get the chemistry that a team needs to compete and to hopefully win the tier 1 u14 provincials and then go for a Nationals. We cannot do that if we don’t get all the 2003s together now. They have to grow together as a team and even though your daughter and some of top players in my team could play up and hold their own they wouldn’t be leaders on a team like that and if I understand correctly a mixed age team cannot compete for nationals. These girls have a chance to be leaders on this team, not followers on an older team, and they can work to get the chemistry needed to compete at the highest level starting now.

" X7 @' q# h% c$ v0 c* OIf your goal is just to have fun with your current friends than you won’t choose our team since we’re here to build a competitive team and at times friends won’t make it. But if you want Christy to branch out, meet new friends, stay with a team and grow with them to compete at the highest levels than we are the team for you. `' [5 T' T l5 }+ T4 ~
) B' @2 F/ z1 _9 CPlease consider what you want for your child out of soccer. I know my Daughter wants to compete and get better, look to win titles and maybe even win some scholarships for University down the road.

犯难了，2003队的教练很热情，但是队员水平实在是差强人意；2002队倒是有几个队员和菁菁水平相当，可是教练那儿要打一个大大的问号, 咋办呢?5 S' Q' {6 d4 ~- ~* }
